The Blackjack Rules Splitting Pairs

According to Blackjack Rules Splitting Pairs is an option allowed when your first two cards are a matching pair. This means that in case the first two cards dealt for the player are a matching pair, he may choose to split them into two independent hands by placing an extra bet equal to the initial one. For example, it is highly advised in Blackjack Rules Splitting Pairs is to split a pair of 8's as when not split they total 16, the worst possible total, as it is unlikely to win and has a high probability of busting if the player draws another card.

In a hand-held game to indicate Split, you should toss the cards you have on the table and place the equal (only equal) bet by your original one. The dealer separates the cards forming two hands and deals an extra card to each hand. In some casinos, players are also allowed to Double Down after split. You make your playing decisions on each of your hands.

In case you get additional pairs dealt after split, most casinos will allow you to resplit. Usually, the players are allowed to re-split up to three times, to form 4 separate hands. However, in some casinos, the re-splitting is forbidden as well as some allow unlimited splitting. Most of the time it is allowed to split a pair of any two 10-valued cards, however you should ignore this option, as 20 is a great total.

Moreover, most casinos have additional limitations on Blackjack Rules Splitting Pairs of Aces. As splitting Aces is a very strong move for the player, casinos allow only one additional card to each Ace. Furthermore, in case the additional card to the Ace is a 10-valued one, the hand is not considered as a Blackjack, but only as a hand that totals 21, and is not paid 3:2. Also, most casinos do not allow re-splitting Aces.

In conclusion, we should say that the best advice is to ALWAYS split a pair of 8's and Aces.
