Blackjack or Natural
A combination of first two cards only that total 21 points is called a Blackjack or Natural. Thus such combination comprises any ten valued card and an Ace. In case the player gets such combination after splitting Aces, this is not considered as a Blackjack or Natural, rather a total 21. This is rather important as all the Blackjacks are paid 3:2, and player Blackjack beats any dealer hand except for Blackjack (in such case the hand is a tie and pushes).
The winning Blackjack or Natural is usually paid at once. In case you are playing in a face down game, you should reveal your blackjack to the dealer immediately. In some casinos, dealers pay only after they have checked their cards for Blackjack or Natural in case the dealer up card is an Ace or a ten.
Blackjack happens only once every 21 hands, so if you were dealt a Blackjack smile, because you won!
